Frank LoRusso, 72 Family man, played football at Wagner and had realty career Frank LoRusso, 72, retired real estate broker, passed away on Oct. 3, 2019 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York City. Born on Oct. 11, 1946 in Jersey City, N.J., Frank lived In Palisades Park, N.J. He attended St. Cecilia High School, where he was an All-Star football and baseball player. Frank attended Wagner College, where he earned a BS in Business. He was also a starting halfback on the undefeated football team of 1967. Frank was married to his college sweetheart, Gloria DiPerna LoRusso. They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their family and friends on a Royal Caribbean cruise. He was the loving father of Joseph LoRusso of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. His daughter, Christina Santamauro, resides with her husband, Matthew, in Oakwood. Frank's greatest joy were his two grandchildren, Matty and Marina. After retiring as the director of the Staten Island School of Real Estate, Frank and Gloria moved to Brigantine, N.J. The couple traveled frequently and Frank was an avid poker player. The wake will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, at Colonial Funeral Home, 2819 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island , N.Y. 10306. Funeral Mass is on Saturday, Oct. 5, at 9:15 a.m. at St. Charles Church, 200 Penn Ave/Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, N.Y. 10306.
