Joan C. Sullivan, 79 Loving mother and grandmother; beautician and manicurist Joan C. Sullivan, 79, of Midland Beach, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2019, Born Wednesday, June 12, 1940 in Union City, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Fred Herrmann and the late Marcella Cashin Herrmann. Joan a beautician and manicurist, treasured her free time shopping, traveling and frequent trips upstate. Joan was a member of the Knights of Columbus-Columbiettes, and was a longtime member of the SSG Michael Ollis VFW Post #9587. She was the loving mother of Joan Cannavale, John Sullivan, Raymond Sullivan and Patricia Sullivan; dear sister of Marcella Kallert; cherished grandmother of Michelle, Melissa, Erin, Kerry, Kimberly, Kaitlin, Shannon, Steven, Emily, Jessica and Christine, and adoring great- grandmother of Nikki, Frank, Matthew, Alana, Lucia, Justine, and Thomas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Monday at St. Margaret Mary Church located at 560 Lincoln Ave., Staten Island, N.Y. 10306. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019, and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday Sept. 29, 2019, at the John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
