IN LOVING MEMORY Delmus Delano Cunningham, Sr . Known as Pete Cunningham by his family and friends, earned his wings at the age of 85 years young and will be joining his wife of 36 years. Pete was being cared for at home with his family when he passed away on September 8, 2019. All funeral arrangements and professional services have been entrusted to Brackney Funeral Service @ 480 E. James Lee Blvd. Crestview FL 32539. Pete was born on Jan 30 1934 in Wing Alabama to Noah and Blanche Cunningham. He was the 6th of 10 children that survived childbirth. Pete retired after serving 20 years in the USAF and then 20 more years with the Okaloosa County Road Dept. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, his devoted wife, Erma Jean Cunningham, his son, Delmus D. Cunningham, Jr. And a grandson James Allen Hawkins Jr. 4 brothers, Carlos, Calvin, Robert and Royce Cunningham and 2 sisters Vonda Gatewood and Maxine Bryan. He is survived by 2 daughters, Myra Bradley and Sandra Hybiske and husband Scott 5 grandchildren, 12 great grand children, 1 great great grandson, 2 brothers Joseph A. Cunningham and Jerry T. Cunningham 1 sister, Myra Davidson, and many wonderful nieces nephews and an extended family of friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 12th beginning at 11am.
