Samuel K. "Sammy" Lamb
Samuel "Sammy" K. Lamb Evansville - Samuel "Sammy" K. Lamb, 63, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2019 at his home. Sammy was born in Evansville, Indiana on December 21, 1955 to the late Sam and Dorkis (Parker) Lamb. He graduated from Bosse High School in 1973 where he was a decorated wrestler and played football and softball. His passion for wrestling led him to be a coach at Central High School. He played center field in recreational baseball leagues for years. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Sammy is survived by his twin daughters, Brittney Lamb-Kirby (Kristian) of Houston, TX and Courtney Lamb of Evansville, IN and their mother, Theresa Lamb of Evansville, IN; his sons, Matthew Lamb Allison (Clare) and Sammy Lamb Allison; brother, Glenn Lamb of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Michael Allen Furgerson, Colton Matthew Lamb Kerchief and Kamryn Lynn Kirby. Sammy was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Bob and Tony Lamb. A celebration of Sammy's life will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711. Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until service time on Thursday at the funeral home. The family extends a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Gary Moore for his lifelong friendship with Sammy.
