In memory of
Kenneth Earl Wiebe
Kenneth Earl Wiebe was born in Durango July 12, 1952 and passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in Bayfield August 26, 2019. Living in SW Colorado most of his life, including attending school, 1-12 in Bayfield, allowed him to enjoy the outdoors often. He married Chloe Phillips on Nov 4, 1978 and they had two boys. When his kids were young, the family camped at the lake and/or in the mountains most of the summers. You could find Kenny camping & fishing, often at Lake Powell or Navajo Lake and occasionally deep sea fishing off the coast of Mexico. Hunting season took him into the mountains of SW Colorado, the plains of eastern Colorado and to the boot heel of New Mexico. He loved playing golf, ATVing with friends and family and even mowing the lawn or plowing snow, anything outside. His occupation was a carpenter however he was a jack of all trades and could fix about anything. He usually had the tools and knew what to do. He also worked on the powerlines, on the pipelines, as a miner, he poured concrete, was a mechanic and was a logger during lifetime. Kenny could be counted on to help friends & family anytime day or night with about anything. He had zest for life and those around him were drawn to his ability to make even hard work fun, and the non-work times really fun. He has touched many lives and his remarkable amazing personality will be missed by all. Kenny is survived by his wife Chloe, son Brian, mother Betty Lou, brothers Louis (Phoebe) & Wayne (Cindy) and 3 grandkids. He is proceeded in death by his father Leonard, nephew Jeff and son Scott. No memorial service has been arranged at this time. Kenneth Earl Wiebe
