Chief Master Sergeant Carl M. Hawver Jr.
Chief Master Sergeant Carl M. Hawver, Jr., United States Air Force (Ret.), entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 18, 2019, while surrounded by his loving family after a fourteen-year battle with cancer. He proudly served his country for over twenty-nine years, achieving the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. Carl was a highly decorated veteran, served in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars, earned numerous medals and ribbons. Carl was preceded in death by Sumiko Hawver, his wife of twenty-nine years, who passed away from cancer in 1986. He is survived by his wife Michele of 31 years his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and loyal friend to so many and will be missed but never forgotten. A memorial service will be held in his honor at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida, with full military honors, a touching and most fitting tribute in honor of his selfless service on Sept 6th, 2019 @ 11:30am.
