Dena Kemack Silver
Dena Kemack Silver Dena passed away, at age 87, on Aug. 14, 2019. Dena was born on Jan. 15, 1932, in Brooklyn, N.Y. After attending Hunter College, she married and settled in Rockville Center, N.Y. Dena taught music in schools in New York City and Long Island and later gave private piano lessons. She and her husband relocated to Canandaigua in 1999 where Dena continued giving private piano lessons in and around the Canandaigua area for many years. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughters, Karen Silver of Beverly, Mass., Leslie (Dwayne) Breger of Amherst, Mass., and Hope (Stephen) Galens of Clifton Springs; along with grandchildren, Alex (Amber), Ben, Max, Eva and Perry. She was predeceased by her husband, Alvin Silver; and sister, Carole Kemack. Donations may be made in Dena's honor to Temple Beth El, 755 S. Main St., Geneva, NY 14456.
