William D. Moore New York City - William D. Moore, of New York City, passed away on June 20, 2019. Born near Amarillo, Texas in 1936. After graduating from Columbia University he went to study in Germany as a Fulbright Scholar. Bill went on to have a long career as an educator. He taught English at the Institute Montana in Zug Switerland, and then at the American School in London. After a year as an exchange teacher in Pacifica, CA Bill landed at Rye Country Day School where he taught English from 1980 to 1999. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Vladimir's Seminary, Crestwood at 2:30 pm, on Sunday, June 23, 2019. Interment is private.
