Johar Miller - - Johar "Jo" Miller passed into eternal rest on June 13, 2019 Born September 12, 1934 in Casper, Wyoming to Helen Stafford-Cannon. Adopted and raised by her Uncle Virgil & Aunt Norma Wallick in Long Beach, Calif. "Jo" affectionately known as Jodi Wallick in her youth attended both Long Beach Poly High School and Excelsior Union High School where she graduated in 1952. Where she excelled in theatre arts, both acting and singing. Her favorite memory is getting the lead in the Senior class play and winning the 1951-52 Lions Club speakers award. United in marriage in 1955 to Charles "Al" Miller, they where married for 55 years. He preceded her in death in 2010. A consummate homemaker and mother, Jo would assume the position of CEO of the family business, Al Miller and Sons Roofing for eight years until her retirement in 2018. Well known for her amazing cooking skills, painting ( one of her paintings hung in the Palm Springs Art Museum). Jo was an avid reader, great fisherman and traveler. On one of her cruises to Hawaii she met her future husband Kurt Hilderbrand they where married a year later and spend many happy years in the desert Jo is survived by her three sisters Kristian Merriman ( Hugh) Bainbridge Island,Wa., Loranne Kitchens (W.1) Rancho Santa Fe, Calif and Schare Johns(John) Tyler,Texas. Also her four children Phileen( Cori), Russell(Susan), Matthew( Debbie) and Rachael. Landsdown (Alan) Tulsa,Oklahoma and her six Grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren. The family wishs to Dr. Elisa Lindley and her PA Cari, our Care Giver Alma Zadora and Nurse Edna Gomez of Reliance Hospice care for there time and compassionate care given to Jo and her family Visition will be Friday July 5, 2019 from 4: PM to 9PM at Forest Lawn Mortuary 69855 E. Ramon Rd Catherdal City,Calif. The Funeral will be the next day July 6, 2019 The requests in lieu of flowers a contribution in Jo's name be given to the Alzheimers Association Coachella Valley 74020 Alessandro Dr Palm Desert, Calif. 92260
