Patricia A. Coyle
Patricia A. Coyle Native Staten Islander, 85 Patricia A. Coyle (Pat), 85, of Brick, N.J., passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on May 31, 2019. She was born at St. Vincent's Hospital on July 6, 1933, and raised in Grant City. She attended St. Christopher's grammar school, St. Peter's Girls H.S. & Mt. St. Vincent College. Pat was employed by the NYC Telephone Co. as a business office rep in the Wall St. area. In 1959 she married John Coyle, residing in the Bronx, where they started their family. After moving to Ocean Breeze, SI, she was employed by the NYC Department of Education in the School Safety Division. She loved her family, adored her grandchildren, and enjoyed going to the beach. Pat was predeceased by her husband, John; parents, Julia and Richard Quinn, and her sister, Alice Mullaney. She is survived by her loving children, Maureen Petersen (Gregg), Patricia Coughlin (Brian), Eileen Fiore (Vincent), Kathleen Dell'Isola-Coyle (Chris), and John Coyle. Pat was the cherished grandmother of Kristin and Erik Petersen, James, Brian & Katherine Coughlin, Vincent and Matthew Fiore, Grace and John Coyle; as well as her brother, Richard Quinn; sister, Maureen Gatz, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Hanley Funeral Home, 60 New Dorp Lane, SI, N.Y., on Monday, June 3, from 7 to 9 p.m., and on Tuesday, June 4, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Margaret Mary's R.C. Church 560 Lincoln Ave., SI, N.Y., at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5. Private cremation will follow.
