Frank A. Russell
Frank A. Russell, 71, of Nanticoke, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019, at home after a seven-year battle with cancer. He was retired from Gibbons/Stegmeier Brewery after 42 years of service. Frank was an avid hunter, fisherman, and golfer and fan of the New York Yankees and Notre Dame. He loved riding his Harley with his wife, Sue. He loved listening to music, playing his guitar, and was in several bands including E. Clyde and the Informals, Sweet Charity and Lou Mans Band. Frank was also a longtime member of the Nanticoke Quoit Club and Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 834, Nanticoke. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Petracini Reilly; stepfather, John Reilly Sr.; and a daughter, Melania Russell. He is survived by his loving wife, Sue Szatkowski Russell; a daughter, Renee Mera and husband, Shawn; granddaughters, whom he cherished, Jordan Mera and fiancé, Ryan Carroll; and McKenna Mera; stepchildren, Dave Steever and wife, Cheri; Dan Steever and wife, Anita; and Shelley DePhillips and husband, Shawn; step-grandchildren, Brady, Maya, Ryan and Alanna; sisters, Flossie Black and husband, Bill; Marie Simon, Jeannie Boeggeman and husband, Jim; and Trish Spieker and husband, Greg; a brother, John Reilly Jr. and wife, Joannie; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited for visitation from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Davis-Dinelli Funeral Home, 170 E. Broad St., Nanticoke. At 4 p.m., a memorial service will be led by family friend, Bob Kearney.
