KENNETH WEGENER
Kenneth 'Mark' Wegener November 14, 1951 - April 29, 2019 OKLAHOMA CITY Kenneth 'Mark' Wegener was born in Albuquerque, NM on November 14, 1951. Being inspired by an enlightened future, he chose to step into the light of his new adventure on April 29, 2019. He was known affectionately as 'Butch' by his close family and he lived in the Oklahoma City area, Stillwater, and San Diego after traveling the world as part of a military family. He graduated from Wewoka High School in 1969 and received a Bachelor's degree in Business Admin-istration from Oklahoma State University in 1973. For many years he worked as a CPA and Certified Financial Planner, and since his retirement, he has focused on his spiritual goals and meditative practices, reading and helping any friend who asked. Preceding Mark in transition were his parents Kenneth B. (Ike) and Evelyn Wegener of Midwest City. Left behind and missing his bright smile, sense of humor, and words of wisdom are his two sons, Stephen Mark Wegener and son-in-law Marton Fehervari, and Matthew Scott Wegener all of Edmond; his three sisters, Jana Bingman of Tulsa, Susan and Phil Smauder of Owasso, and Joan Wegener of Oklahoma City; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In lieu of other remembrances, donations may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation or any charity of your choosing. The family is particularly thankful to Carter Hospice employees for their kind care in the final weeks of his life.
