Lawrence Wlezien
Lawrence R. Wlezien, an Orange County resident for 50+ years, passed away on March 15, 2019 in Hendersonville, NC, to which he had relocated in 2017. Larry was preceded in death by his wife Maureen, who died in 2004. He is survived by 3 children: Michael, Robert and Mary Beth Harris, all of Orange County. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren: Brandon Eldridge, and Nicole and DiAnne Wlezien. Larry also leaves two brothers, Richard and Michael, and in-laws Mary and Les Spinner. Larry was born in Chicago, raised in Niles, IL and was the son of Ted and Emily Wlezien. He obtained his undergraduate civil engineering degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign and a Master's degree in engineering from California State University, Long Beach. For most of his career, he operated his own engineering firm in Santa Ana and Laguna Niguel. A funeral mass will be said for Larry at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, 29102 Crown Valley Parkway, in Laguna Niguel, on May 18th at 1:00 PM, followed by an interment service at Ascension Catholic Cemetery in Lake Forest.
