Mario A. Porricelli Yonkers - Mario Porricelli passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2019 in Yonkers, New York. He was 86 years old. Mario was born on August 8, 1932 in the Bronx, New York to Ciro and Concetta Porricelli. Mario lived in the Bronx till 1972 when he moved to Yonkers. He attended Evander Childs High School till the age of 14. When he began work with his father in the lower Manhattan Market. Mario was an active member of the United States Army, 1st class Sergeant, armored division from 1952 to 1954. He was honorably discharged from the reserves in 1960. In 1962 Mario founded "Porricelli Brothers" produce in the Hunts Point Market, which he successfully ran till retirement 1994. Mario is survived by his loving wife Serafina, of 63 years. Sons, Guy, wife Kris, daughter Kristen. Mark Porricelli, daughters - Monique Olgee, husband Charles, daughter Kimberly and Melissa, granddaughter Lyliana. Nicole Porricelli, Joe Augione. In-laws Nicholas and Antonina LaGattuta. Memorial Mass on Saturday May 18, 2019 at St. Peter & Paul, Fleetwood, at 10:30 AM.
