RICHARD R. SQUIBB MAY 2019 - Richard R. Squibb, 79, of Palm Springs, CA died unexpectedly of heart failure on May 2, 2019 at his residence in Palm Springs. He is survived by his husband, Roy W. Cody, and was preceded in death by his parents and sister. Richard grew up in Spokane, WA before moving to San Francisco and then to Palm Springs in 1993. He was trained as a fine musician and was an organist in churches in the pacific northwest as well as California. Most recently he was the organist at First Church of Christ Scientist, Palm Springs. He was an exceptional cook who shared his talent with others, former board member and long-time supporter of the Palm Springs opera guild, and philanthropist to charitable organizations needing music programs. Professional designations included California Real Estate Agent and membership in the American Society of Interior Designers. A celebration of Richard's life has been scheduled for Saturday, May 18th, 2019, 11:00am at the Church of St. Paul (Episcopal) in Palm Springs, 125 w El Alameda, with a reception following in the parish hall.
