Bryan C. Yingst
Bryan C. Yingst, 74, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Lancaster General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Harrisburg, PA, the son of the late S. Harold and Kathleen (Via) Yingst. He was happily married to Julie A. (Johnson) Yingst for almost 54 years. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1966-1968. Prior to retirement, Bryan worked as a builder for Millstream Construction. He was a member of Lancaster Seventh-day Adventist Church where he served as head elder and a board member for many years. He also served on the board of the SDA PA Conference, Blue Mountain Academy, and the former Central Penn Christian School. He enjoyed golfing, car shows, racing, and was an avid fan of the Phillies and Eagles. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Bryan always had a mischievous grin and a twinkle in his eye and was known for his sense of humor. He lived a life of service to the Lord and deeply impacted the lives of all who knew him. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed. We look forward to the day when Christ returns and we will be reunited with him. Surviving besides his wife Julie are his children, Bryan Kelly Yingst (Dawn), Stacy R. Whitacre (Wayne), Wendy C. Eavenson (Scott), and Brady C. Yingst (Jill); his brother, Robert A. Yingst (Bambi), his sister, Pamela K. Griffin (Darrell), thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren who lovingly called him Papa, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Yingst. Family and friends are invited to attend the Services on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 6:00 pm at Lancaster Seventh-day Adventist Church, 151 City Mill Rd., Lancaster, PA 17602. Friends may greet the family from 4:00 pm until the time of service. Burial with military honors will be on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 9:00 am sharp, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
