Robyn Wood
Robyn Michelle Wood Rockport IN Robyn Michelle Wood, 42, passed away Monday, February 11, 2019, encircled by her loving family. Robyn was born on September 29, 1976 at Oakland Naval Hospital in California. She was preceded in death by Dr. Robert M. and Anabel Wood, Edward A. and Mary E. Szymski, and her fur babies Tucker Lynn and Kollynns Hope. She is survived by her parents, Dr. Charles Michael and Norine Lynn Wood, twin sister Jennifer Lynn Wilhelmus and her husband Ryan, sister, Laura Kathryn Staffeld and her husband Joshua, nephews Adam and Matthew Wilhelmus, numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and her faithful four-legged companion, ByntLee Charles. She worked as a mortgage processor at US Bank, Bay Rock Financial, and at the time of death was an Assistant Vice President-Mortgage Credit Administration Processing Officer at First Security Bank in Owensboro, Kentucky. She also was the co-owner of R and R Designs of Rockport, with her dear friend Roxie Decker. During her months of rehabilitation, Robyn dedicated her time, love, attention, and energy to the young students at Luce Elementary. This gave her great joy and allowed her extraordinary light to shine. Robyn had a heart of gold and was loved by everyone she met. She was beautiful inside and out, but perhaps what made her beautiful was not her appearance or what she achieved, but in her love and in her courage, and her audacity to believe no matter the darkness around her, light ran wild within her, and that was the way she came alive, and it showed up in everything. Services are 10 A.M., Friday, February 15, 2019 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Rockport, Indiana, with Pastor Roberta Cook and Pastor Brian Hannon officiating. Visitation is from 2 P.M. until 8 P.M., Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport, and from 8 A.M. until service time at the church on Friday. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Luce Elementary Library/Media Center or to the South Spencer Scholarship Foundation in Robyn's memory. Friends may leave a condolence for the family at www.boultinghousefuneralhome.com .
