Ernest R. Neely, Jr. Nashville - Age 97, died Sat., Feb. 9, 2019, peacefully at home. He was preceded in death by his parents, E.R. Neely, Sr., and Annie Walls Neely, sister, Annie May (Bob) Gann, and brother, Leslie (Helen) Neely, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 70+ years, Carnelle (Connie) Neely; brother-in-law, Jim Agnew; nieces and nephews, Les (Deb) Neely, Kevin (Lori) and Kris (Jen) Neely, Cathy (Rick) Arnold, Doug (Kimberly) Arnold, Becca (Brent) Whitehead, Donna (Greg) Meyers, Shelby (Michael) Maldonado, and Nick Meyers. Ernest retired from Third National / Sun Trust Bank after several years of service. He was a member of the Marine Corp serving in World War II in the South Pacific, and a member of John B. Garrett Lodge #711 and Arlington Methodist Church. Visitation with the family will be at Hermitage Funeral Home on Mon., Feb. 11, 2019 from 4-7 pm, and Tues., Feb. 12, 2019 from 1-2 pm with the Funeral to follow at 2 pm with Pastor Doug Arnold officiating.
