Dennis R. Anthony, age 71 of Mechanicsburg, lost his battle with pulmonary fibrosis on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at home. He was born in Harrisburg and was the son of Raymond E. and Helen M. (Markiewicz) Anthony. Dennis was a graduate of John Harris High School Class of 1965. He served in the United States Air Force. Dennis was a retired police officer with the Lower Allen Township Police Department. In addition, Dennis also worked as a CSO for the Mechanicsburg Police Department and was a shuttle driver for Fred Beans KIA. Dennis was a former member of the FOP, the American Legion Post 109, Mechanicsburg VFW Post 6704, as well as the Mechanicsburg Club. He was a former member of Suds and Clubs Golf League at Rich Valley Golf Course. Dennis is survived by his wife Christine E. (Chandler) Anthony, a daughter Kimberly R. Baer (Troy) of Lewisberry, a son Keith M. Anthony (Jennifer) of Mt. Holly Springs, a step son Jason Culley (Christina) of Lemoyne, a brother John Anthony (Carol) of Middletown, 9 grandchildren, a niece and three nephews. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
