Nancy May Seacord-Scholz Mills River, SC - Nancy May Seacord-Scholz, 81 of Mills River passed away Monday, January 7, 2019 at the Elizabeth House following a long illness. Nancy was a daughter of the late James and Kathleen Seacord and was born in New Rochelle, NY on December 26, 1937. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Scholz, Sr.; and a son Ernest "Ernie" Scholz. Nancy graduated in Pleasantville, NY in 1956 and was married July 3, 1965. She was a registered nurse and a Captain in the USAF. She was a member of St. John's School of Nursing Alumni in Brooklyn, NY. She was a member of Episcopal of the Holy Family in Mills River. She is survived by a son, William K. Scholz, Jr.; siblings, Bonnie Holt, Susan Seacord and James Seacord; and many nieces and nephews. A service will be at 10:00am Friday, January 11, 2019 at the Church of the Holy Family, 419 Turnpike Road, Mills River, NC. The Rev. Chris Mason will officiate. Memorials may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Grand Central Station, PO Box 4777, New York, NY 10163-4777.
