BRUNSWICK - Ruben Rivera, 59, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018, after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Sacramento, Calif., on Sept. 20, 1959, to Ambrose and Barbara Loya Rivera. Ruben and his wife, Stephanie, have resided in Brunswick for the last eight years. He worked as a controller for Colby College for over 20 years. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Stephanie Rivera of Brunswick; his daughter, Logan Hadley and her husband, Jonathan, of Missoula, Mont.; his brother, Martin Rivera and his wife, Kimberly, of Marysville, Calif.; his sister, Frances Ascuncion and her husband, Michael, of Plumas Lake, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 8, at 11 a.m., at Stetson's Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick, with a reception to follow at the Stetson's Funeral Home Family Reception Center.
