Lorraine C. Doyle 1927 - 2018 SANFORD - Lorraine C. Doyle, 91, of Sanford, died peacefully on Dec. 2, 2018, after a short illness. She was the loving daughter of Antonio and Lumina (Richard) Chabot. Born on Aug. 10, 1927, in Sanford, she attended local schools and graduated from Sanford High School and Nasson College in Springvale.Lorraine was fortunate to be able to be a stay-at-home mom and lovingly raised her six children. She also found time for her own hobbies such as braiding several rugs and taking care of her large and beautiful flower gardens. She was also an accomplished seamstress having made clothing and wedding dresses for her family. She particularly looked forward to her "coffee group" with whom she formed a lifelong bond.Lorraine was a communicant of all three local Catholic churches during her lifetime, a member of the Daughters of Isabella, and was a member of the church choir. In her later years she enjoyed traveling to local nursing homes with other choir members to sing for the residents. Lorraine was predeceased by her loving husband Urbain of 61 years; her parents; and her brother, Paul Chabot. She is survived by her son, Ronald and his wife, Carlene (Waitt) of Sanford, five daughters, Anita and her husband, Tom Hickman of Pulaski, Tenn., Margaret and her husband, Mark Garland of Springvale, Linda Yakas of Fitchburg, Mass., Kathleen Fougere of Portsmouth, N.H., and Kelly and her husband, Mike Jollotta of Sanford; as well as three brothers, Andre, Richard, and Roland. She will be greatly missed by her 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, Dec. 6, from 6-8 p.m. at Lafrance-Lambert & Black Funeral Home, 29 Winter Street, Sanford. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, Dec. 7, at 10 a.m. at St. Thérèse of Lisieux Parish, Notre Dame Church in Springvale. Burial will be held in the spring at St. Ignatius Cemetery.
