Wendy Sue Jones-Tyler
Wendy Sue Jones-Tyler, 58, of Harrisburg, passed away on Friday September 7, 2018 at The Gardens at Blue Ridge. Born December 12, 1959, in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of the late Willis Ward; and was raised by her mother, Geraldine Snyder and step father, William Jones. Hair styling was Wendy's passion. She received a degree in Cosmetology, and later competed in numerous hair styling competitions for which she received several First-Place awards. Her talents earned her a notable reputation in the local hair styling community. After obtaining her Teaching Certification in Cosmetology, she taught for a number of years and worked with several area salons. Wendy loved her family, and leaves her loving husband, Foster E. "Frogg" Tyler; a son, Stanley Brown Ritter; two brothers, William "Bill" Jones, and wife, Cheryl, and, Melvin E. Miller, and wife, Elizabeth; two step sisters, Kate and Sally, and, four step brothers, Herbie, Terry, Wayne and Gary. She is also survived by several grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Her brother, Willis "Diamond" Ward Jr., preceded her to the Lord. Her Funeral Service and Homegoing Celebration will be held at the Neumyer Funeral Home, Inc., 1334 N. Second Street, Harrisburg, on Thursday September 13, 2018 beginning at 12:00 Noon.
