In memory of
John E. Brough Jr.
John E. Brough, Jr., 92, of Camp Hill, went to the Lord Friday, September 07, 2018. He passed peacefully at Geisinger Holy Spirit with family by his side. John was born August 9, 1926 in Latimore, Adams County, the son of the late John E. & Margaret (Kennedy) Brough and was one of six children raised on their family farm. John graduated from York Springs High School and immediately following the call to duty of that era enlisted in the US Army. After earning his Honorable Discharge from the Armed Forces, John attended Pennsylvania State University and graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering. John spent most of his working career employed by the federal government in varied engineering projects until choosing to retire and pursue other interests. Having completed his government service, John was not yet done serving his family, friends, and community. He spent the years of his retirement serving as a caregiver to numerous family members, friends, and simply those he found in need of help. He left a proud legacy of loyalty, dependability, kindness, and true concern for the people around him. John is survived by his sister, Janice Guise, of Carlisle; several cousins; 11 nieces and nephews and their families. In addition to his parents John was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Dale Brough and two sisters, Dorothy McCauslin and Mildred Shelly. Services will be held Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at the Cocklin Funeral Home, 30 N. Chestnut Street, Dillsburg, PA. A viewing will be held at 10:00am followed by a service at 11:00am. Burial will follow in the Dillsburg Cemetery – Mountain Road. An online guestbook can be signed at www.cocklinfuneralhome.com www.pennlive.com/obits
