Lewisville, MN   Memorial Service for Lorna Lorraine Zoellmer, 86, of Lewisville, MN will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at Trinity Lutheran Church- Fieldon in rural Lewisville, MN. Prior to the service a burial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in rural Lewisville, MN. Lorna passed away Saturday evening, June 9, 2018, at the Good Samaritan Society in St. James, MN. Memorials are preferred to St. Jude’s Children Hospital. The Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements. Lorna Lorraine Zoellmer was born on October 16, 1931 to August and Frieda (Altenberg) Wilke in Antrim Township, Watonwan County, MN. She was baptized on November 8, 1931 at Trinity Lutheran Church-Fieldon and later confirmed on April 29, 1945 at Zion Lutheran Church in Lewisville, MN. She received her education by attending country school District 5, Lewisville Public School and Truman High School. On April 22, 1948, Lorna was united in marriage to Armond C. Zoellmer at Trinity Lutheran Church-Fieldon. They made their home in Lewisville. Lorna worked as a banker at Merchants State Bank in Lewisville for thirty-five years. She was the first woman who was on the board of directors for Merchants State Bank. Lorna was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church-Fieldon. She was a director of “Lewisville Kitchen Rhythm Band”, president of the Friends of the Lewisville Library and directed and was Master of Ceremony for Lewisville Centennial 2001 Pageant. She also directed other programs put on for fundraisers for community events over the years. Lorna enjoyed music, dancing, coffee hour and most of all spending time with her family. She is survived by two sons, Rickie (Karen) Zoellmer of Lewisville and Mark Zoellmer of Lewisville; one daughter, Rhonda (Douglas) Kuhlman of Madison Lake; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brother-in-law, Waldon (Bonnie) Zoellmer of Truman; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Armond Zoellmer in 2003; son, Chuck Zoellmer in 1990; one grandson; sister, Viola (Joe) McClintock; sister-in-law, Marilyn (Paul) Mosel; brothers-in-law, Delbert and Gerald Zoellmer.   www.lakeviewfuneralhome.net
