Susan Elizabeth MCCOY
MCCOY, Susan Elizabeth March 7, 1943 - May 02, 2016 Susan (Sue) Elizabeth McCoy loving, and devoted wife and mother, passed away May 2, 2016 at home in Kenwood. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Dale McCoy; daughters, Jenna and Kim; son, Scott; and grandsons, Jarod and Kevin. Born and raised in San Francisco, Sue graduated from Lowell High School and SF State University where she met and married her soul mate Dale. After moving all over the country and finally coming back to CA, Sue fell in love with Kenwood and lived here for the last 24 years enjoying frequent visits from friends and family, and spoiling their two grandsons for the last 15 years. Shortly after arriving in Kenwood she found her spiritual home at the small Kenwood Community Church where she served as Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees, Deacon and founding member of the woman's group WOW. She was active in her book club, "lunch bunch," and "ladies bridge". She also served as past President of Sonoma New Comers. She was outgoing, open- hearted, a great hostess, and above all, she loved her children and grandsons with all her heart! Sue will be forever loved and remembered by her devoted husband, children, grandsons, and friends. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, June 5 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kenwood Community Church 9637 Channing Row Kenwood, CA 95452. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations may be made to the Kenwood Community Church or American Cancer Society.
