Kathy Ann Rodesiler
HOPKINS - Kathy Ann Rodesiler, 60, of Hopkins, South Carolina passed away May 13, 2016 at Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Charleston, South Carolina. She was born on January 14, 1956 in Coldwater, Michigan to the late Robert and Marjorie (Adams) Rodesiler. Kathy was a proud US Army Veteran with 23 years of faithful and honorable service. After her retirement she continued serving by accepting a job with the South Carolina Youth challenge, for over 18 years, as a Master Sergeant Cadre and later a logistician. Kathy loved to travel and would get out on her trike and tour as much as she could and was a member of the Gold Wing Road Rider Association Chapter P in Lexington SC. She had a particular soft spot for animals and would take in all kinds of strays. She will be missed by those that love her and those she loved. Kathy is survived by her spouse of 34 years, Hilda "Dusty" Ross; a sister, Vicky Meek (Mike) of Angola IN; a brother, John Rodesiler (Cheryl) of Angola IN; and her stepmother, Marge Rodesiler of Coldwater MI. She is also survived by her nieces, Aimee McVoy (Dave) of Roanoke IN, Holly Deem of Angola IN, Kristy Clawson (Matt) of Angola IN; nephews, Christopher Rodesiler (Christina) of Coldwater MI and Chad Rodesiler of Angola IN. Kathy also leaves behind her "adopted" children, Elise Causey, Loretta Jones and Danielle Kontak; and a very special friend, Edwina "Toni" Gurley. A celebration of the life of Kathy will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at The National Guard Armory, TAG Auditorium, 1 National Guard Road, Columbia SC, 29201 with full military honors to be rendered. Interment services will be held at a later date and will be announced. Memorials may be made to PAALS (Palmetto Animal Assisted Life Services), 221 N. Grampian Hills Rd.
