Callaway, Roberta Leahr 11/25/1929 - 7/12/2015 Of St. Simon's Island, Georgia Roberta Leahr Callaway November 25, 1929 July 12, 2015 Of St. Simon's Island and Lake Paradise, MI. Formerly of Flint, MI. Departed this life on July 12, 2015 at Lake Paradise, MI to be reunited with the love of her life and her husband for 58 years, Dwight. Roberta was born on November 25, 1929 in Cincinnati, Ohio. While in Flint, Roberta was a faithful member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She served on the boards of directors of the Flint Institute of Art, Salvation Army of Genesee County and the Flint Symphony Orchestra. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit lives on in those who loved her and in the promise of the Resurrection. Cherished mother of Denise (Gary Reistad), Gordon (Kim), Dwight II (Sharon Carser), and daughter-in-law Crystal. Beloved grandmother of Gordon (Latasha) and Caroline Callaway; George, Kelsey (fianc Jacob), and Sonja Reistad, and Maxine Behm. Further survived and loved by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends in Georgia, Michigan, Ohio, Kansas and Indiana. Roberta was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Rozelia (Bradshaw) Leahr and her siblings Richard, George, William, John, Charles, Pearl, Grace, Jean, Rozelia and her step-sister Jacqueline. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 8 at Christ Church Frederica on St. Simon's Island at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Christ Church Frederica or to the Salvation Army of your choice.
