June Brattain
June Brattain, 86, passed away in Houston May 19, 2015, from complications of COPD and dementia. She was born on June 9, 1928, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Roma Haddon (Doc), and Jewel Morgan Oxford. She spent her youth in Ponca City, Oklahoma. June was an avid reader, a fan of crossword puzzles, loved water aerobics, cats, and her grandkids. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Gene Brattain; her parents, Doc and Jewel Oxford; her brother Roy Oxford, her grandson, Jaime Lee Brattain and her nephew Dean Oxford. Her five children and their relations survive her. Special thanks for great care givers Annameshia Kibble and Profira, Andrew and Corey Tenase, as well as the thoracic staff of Dr. Frank Fossella at MD Anderson. Per June's request, no funeral will be held. Those wishing may make a donation to Northwest Assistance Ministries, 15555 Kuykendahl Rd, Houston, TX 77090, or the charity of your choice.
