Rachel Rampy
Rachel Evans Rampy, of Calvert, Texas, passed away, at her home, on August 30, 2014. She was born June 6, 1940, in Conroe, Texas to W. A. (Bay) Evans and Garnett Brown Evans. Rachel graduated from Conroe High School, class of 1958, and attended Texas Christian University until her marriage to Ty Rampy in 1959. Rachel was the loving mother of two children: Bay Evans Rampy Komar and Ty C. Rampy. And a wonderful Grandmother to: Cole Evans Komar, Ty Evans Rampy and Madison Sutton Rampy. Rachel had one sister, Priscilla (Tib) Scarborough. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Bay Evans Rampy Komar and husband Ty Rampy. Rachel is survived by her son, Ty C. Rampy and wife Linda Leming Rampy; sister, Tib Scarborough, three grandchildren, Cole Evans Komar, of Round Top, Texas, Ty Evans Rampy and Madison Sutton Rampy, both of Calvert, Texas. Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends also survive. The family will receive guest, at a visitation, on Wednesday, September 3, 2014, from the hours of 5pm until 8pm, at Cashner Funeral Home, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, Texas 77303. A Graveside service will be held in Garden Park Cemetery, 801 Teas Road, Conroe, Texas 77303, at 10:00am on Thursday, September 4, 2014, with George Billingslea officiating. Pallbearers are Scott Conner, Jerry Creighton, Ronnie Gaas, Pat George, Steve Hailey, Cole Evans Komar, Ty Evans Rampy, Bill Scarborough, Paul Scarborough, Martin Vick and John Earl Weisinger.
