DiGiovanni, Ann R. Ann R. DiGiovanni, age 86 of Fairfield beloved wife of 64 years of Walter A. DiGiovanni passed away peacefully Thursday November 14, 2013 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Arlington, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Daniel and Ann Walker, she had been a Fairfield resident for 53 years. Prior to raising her family she worked as a switchboard operator for the D.M. Read Company in Bridgeport. A devout Catholic, she was a parishioner for many years at St. Raphael's Church and most recently at St. Margaret's Shrine. Above all else, Ann delighted in the time she spent with her family. Survivors include three beloved children Linda A. Gabriele of Fairfield., Rev. Msgr. Stephen M. DiGiovanni of Stamford and Ellen A. DiGiovanni of Heathrow, Fl; two grandchildren Lauren A. Gabriele and her husband Stephen Diforio of New York City and Raymond A. Gabriele of Houston, TX; a brother Daniel R. Walker, Jr. of Stuart, Fl and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a brother John Walker and son in law Dr. Raymond M. Gabriele. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday November 16, 2013 at 10:00AM meeting directly at St. Margaret's Shrine, 2523 Park Ave., Bridgeport with the Rev. Msgr. Stephen M. DiGiovanni officiating. Interment will follow in Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. The family requests in lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Ann may be made to Malta House 5 Prowitt St. Norwalk, Ct. 06855.
