John M. Roche
John M. Roche 64, of Clinton, died unexpectedly in Boylston on March 27, 2012. He was born in Dorchester on Feb 12, 1948, son of the late John and Rita (McFadden) Roche and husband of the late Millicent (Johnston) Roche. He grew up in Littleton and graduated from St. Marys High School Class of 1965. John served four years in the U.S. Armys Security Agency, where he received two Commendation Medals. He then attended UMass Amherst and received a BA in Liberal Arts. John went on to work for Digital Equipment and Hewlett Packard for nearly 30 years. He most recently was employed at Harrington Hospital as their Information Technology Specialist, retiring in 2011. John was a member of the American Pool Assn. and the New England USA Pool League. He had a passion for painting, playing guitar and skiing. He also was an avid walker, and loved to cook and read anything related to History. His survivors include: daughter Kimberly Roche-Connor of Woburn, two brothers James Roche of Groveland, Martin Roche of Bolton, two sisters Susan Matheson of Depeyster, NY, Carol Bennett of Littleton, and former wife Christine Connor of Concord, NH. He was also a great Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Visiting Hours will be held at the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St. Littleton on Monday April 16 from 4-8 pm. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Annes Church on 75 King St. Littleton on Tuesday April 17 at 10 am. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Clinton. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association by going to http://honor.americanheart.org and searching Roche. Please see www.badgerfuneral.com
