STAN W. HARTMAN
STAN W. HARTMAN, 59, currently of Wawasee, died on Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, at his home, with his family by his side. The Fort Wayne native was the son of the late Walter and Wilhelmine Hartman. He was a 45 year member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne, and a current member of Ligonier United Methodist Church. Stan graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Forestry. He was a timber buyer for 37 years, most recently with Post Hardwoods. Stan grew up working with his family on the Hartman Turkey Farm on Maysville Road. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Carrie; son, Luke Hartman; and stepson, Jeff (Andrea) Muncie, both of Fort Wayne; granddaughters, Emilia Bergan and Tahlor Muncie; and brothers, Steve (Louise) Hartman of Fort Wayne and Frank (Christine) Hartman of St. Joe. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Malinda Kolb. Service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 7710 E. State Blvd., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior at the church. The Rev. Donald Nord officiating. Calling also from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 State Road 930 E., New Haven. Burial in the church cemetery.
