Peter John Tyo
Peter John Tyo Born: March 31, 1962 Died: August 26, 2018 Peter John Tyo "Pete" passed away August 26, 2018. With deep sorrow in our hearts we say good-bye to a husband, dad, loved brother, dear son, wonderful grump-papa and great friend. With his infectious laugh at 56, a heart of gold stopped beating peacefully at home surrounded by his family in Springstead, WI after his 3-1/2 year battle with ALS. Pete was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Germany, as well as the Army National Guard in Afghanistan, Iraq, and assisting after hurricane Katrina. Pete retired as a Watch Commander for the Batavia, IL Police Department after more than 25 years of police service. After his retirement, Pete and his loving wife of 33 years Gabriele (Gabi), moved to the Northwoods of Wisconsin to enjoy the great outdoors at their new home on McDermott Lake. Pete, you are forever in the hearts of your wife Gabi, children and son in law: Anna and Michael Dore of St. Charles, IL with granddaughter Charlotte Dore, and Dylan Tyo of Springstead, WI, his father Ernie Tyo of Manchester, CT, seven brothers and sisters and their spouses, nieces, nephews, and many friends. A memorial service will be held at Novitzke Funeral Home in Park Falls on Saturday, September 8th at 4:00 pm. www.novitzkefuneralhome.com
