Oren Elwood "Dickie" Landman
Oren Elwood "Dickie" Landman, age 76, of Hague, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018. His love of the water led him to a lifetime career as a commercial waterman, especially enjoying fishing and crabbing. Dickie is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Annie Pearl Landman; two sons, James E. Landman (Terry) and Dennis W. Landman (Elaine); five grandchildren, Dennis Landman, Jr., Joel Landman, Aaron Landman, Joshua Landman and Megan Balderson; seven great-grandchildren, Joel, Jaeleigh, Lily, Maddy, Hunter, Kaelyn, and Chloe; and two sisters, Darlene Williams (Donald) and Peggy Morris. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oren L. and Catherine B. Landman; two brothers, Frank P. Landman and Bobby Ray Landman; and a sister, Violet Jenkins. A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home, Marks Chapel with Pastor Dave Metz officiating. Interment followed in the Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior to service time. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
