Ms. Lenora Atkinson Robinson
Lenora Atkinson Robinson was born on August 10, 1946, to the late Deacon David and Mother Sallie Atkinson. She married the late Harold Robinson Sr. in 1964 and to this union was born three children. She departed this earthly life on October 13, 2020. She was a 1964 graduate of Forest Hill High School. She graduated from Johnston Community College with her cosmetology degree in 1992 and became the owner and operator of Nottie's Beauty Salon. At an early age, Lenora was a member of Bentonville Disciples of Christ Church. Later she joined St. John Disciples of Christ Church where she served as a Mother, Secretary, and Sunday School Superintendent. She was the former Miss Western Assembly Queen, the Chairperson of the Hospitality Committee and the Western Assembly Queen Campaign, and the Rental Scheduling Director. She was a faithful member of Community Outreach Ministries. She was one of the many pillars of the Hickory Grove Community. She LOVED music and singing! Her love of music led her to be a director of the Hickory Grove Sunshine Band, serving as president of The Atkinson Family Mass Choir, and to sing alongside her sisters in their group, God's Choice. She is preceded in death by David and Sallie Atkinson (Parents), Harold Robinson, Sr. (Husband), and Jonathan, Helen, David, Robert, and Diane (Siblings). She leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters, Bernadette Elliott (Kenneth) and Helen Robinson (aka Mookie), one son Harold Robinson Jr., and Wednesday Robinson (Sergio), the grandchild whom she raised; her grandchildren, Jordan Elliott, Brittany Robinson-Blount (Garion), Jalen Elliott, Harold Robinson III, and Keshawn Davis; great-grandchildren, Caeleb, Sydnii, and Jaekob Robinson, Sergio, Bhella, and Victor Ramirez-Robinson, Raygan Blount, Nicolas Ramirez-Robinson, and Jaxson Elliott; great-great-grandchildren, Rhylee, Caeleigh, and Caedence Robinson; her siblings, Mary Wright, Eva Roper, Alvin Atkinson (Doris), Sallie Taylor, Clarence Atkinson (Clara), Larry Atkinson, James Atkinson (Brenda), Danny Atkinson, Donald Atkinson (Deborah), Alice McClamb, Sandra Hopkins (Steve), and Kenneth Atkinson (Tessa); her sisters in law, Theresa Cannon, Elizabeth Robinson, Annie Ruth Williams (Issac) and a host of her nieces and nephews who were so special to her. She also leaves her special friends: Deacon Fredrick Strickland, Ms. Betty Jean Kornegay, Pastor Clarry Gathers, and her sister-in-love, Deborah Atkinson.
