Renette B. Smith
Renette B. Smith, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, went to be with the Lord, February 5, 2012 at the age of 70. She was born in Alcester, South Dakota to Walter and Lorraine Hammerstrom who preceded her in death. Renette retired as a reseach coordinatior from The UT Health Science Center after 20 years of dedicated service. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Tom Smith; loving children, Chris Smith and wife, Katie, Tim Smith, Aimee Moseley and husband, Matthew and Sandee Smith; siblings, Patsy Lingert, Kent Hammerstrom, Renee Gilcher and Claudia Hammerstrom; her cherished grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew & Leah Smith, Emma Moseley and Samantha Adamson; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of dear friends. SERVICES A Memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 12, 2012 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to Vitas Hospice in her memory.
