Dean E. Brooks, 56, of Brocton, Illinois, passed away at 7:31 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013, at his residence. He was a retired truck driver and had previously worked road construction with labor hall #573 in Tuscola, Illinois. He was born September 21, 1956, in Paris, Illinois, the son of Goldie (Johnson) Brooks and the late James W. Brooks. Survivors include his mother, Goldie Brooks of Brocton, Illinois; a sister, April Brooks of Brocton, Illinois; a niece Toni (Jason) Rossney of Tucson, Arizona; a great nephew, Aven Ryan Rossney; and a great niece Phoebie Lillian Rossney. Dean was a member of labor hall #573 in Tuscola, Illinois, Arcola Lodge #366 Ancient Free & Accepted Masons, Ansar Shrine Temple, Edgar County Shrine Club, and Ansar Motor Clowns. SERVICE INFORMATION Masonic Rites were conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Templeton Funeral Home in Paris by Arcola Lodge #366. Graveside services and Burial followed in Shields Cemetery near Oakland, Illinois with Bro. Virgil Haynes officiating. Visitation was from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at Templeton Funeral Home in Paris.
