Florence M. Benzel, 87, of the 700 block of Norman Way, Chesapeake, VA, passed away on March 11, 2012. Born in Uniontown, OH, Florence was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company as an electronics mechanic. She was a member of the Great Bridge ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints. She was the widow of Charles Benzel and is survived by a daughter, Tamara J. Ellenberger and husband John of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; a son, Donald K. Robinson and wife Penny of Chesapeake, VA; a sister, Fran Hoover of Orville, OH; five grandchildren, Dyan McDaries and Heather Swanner of Virginia Beach, VA, Mary Lowther of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, John and Don Ellenberger of Ohio; and several great grandchildren. Services are private with Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel. There will be no viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
