Johnnie Belle Corder Cooper, age 96, passed away Sunday, December 13th, 2015. She was born June 24, 1919, to John Elisha and Annie Belle Barnett Corder, in Johnson Chapel near Des Arc. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Chestine W. Cooper; one daughter, Kay Hopper; four brothers and five sisters. She is survived by three daughters; and four sons-in-law; Phyllis (Charles) Van Winkle of Rose Bud; Marilyn (Garry) Neal of Griffithville; Terri (Eddie) Parsons of Searcy; (Bob Hopper) of Cabot; one foster daughter, Edna (Tommy) Gunn of Malvern; 12 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren; and one unborn great great grandson. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ, former homemaker, former teacher's aide at Griffithville School and Dorm Director for Harding University. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 15 from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home in Searcy. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 16, at 11 A.M. at Searcy McEuen Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Dogwood Cemetery in Griffithville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Griffithville Church of Christ mission fund.
