In memory of
Scott C. Doyens
Scott C. Doyens, 54 of Hinckley, IL passed away Monday, May 27, 2019. He was born March 20, 1965 in Aurora, IL and graduated from West Aurora High School in 1983. Scott worked as an artist, craftsman and tinkerer within many mediums. Known to many as the "Bicycle Man", Scott's hobby was collecting - including bicycles and antiques; and he recently learned how to ballroom dance. Scott was always on a quest to better himself through reading about holistic and alternative medicine, exploring his faith and the power of a positive mental attitude. Scott left a lasting impression on everyone he met as evidenced by the outpouring of love his family received upon the news of his sudden passing. Scott is survived by his son, Christopher "Chuck" (Tabi) Doyens; two grandchildren, Jackson and Griffin Doyens; a brother, Jeff (Judi) Doyens; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Glenn H. "Whitey" Doyens and Patricia E. (nee Wondrak) Doyens; his maternal grandparents Margaret and Karl Wondrak; and his paternal grandparents Margaret and Jack Doyens. Family and friends will gather Thursday, June 6, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Healy Chapel, (370 Division Dr., Sugar Grove, IL 60554) for a visitation and celebration of Scott's life. Per his wishes there will be no services at this time. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Scott's memory to the youth programs of Chicago based The Recyclery where young people learn to repair bikes, recycle donated bikes and serve as mentors for new participants in the program (therecyclery.org).
