In memory of
George R. DeCoske, 91 of Sheffield Lake, formerly of Johnstown, PA., passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, January 28, 2019. He was born to parents John and Anna (nee Tarbay) DeCoske on February 12, 1927.
George served in the Army in the Military Police during WWII where he received his Asian Pacific Theatre Ribbon, Army Occupation Medal (Japan) and his WWII Victory Medal. He became Man of the Year at the Holy Name Society; was a Eucharistic Minister and member of St Thomas Church and a Life member of the Sheffield lake V.F.W. He enjoyed woodworking and riding his moped around town.
He is survived by his beloved wife Bessie (nee Felix) of 68 years; loving children Carol Ann Miller (Tom) of S.C., Robbie L. Cerney (Wayne) of Olmsted Falls and Robert J. DeCoske (Catherine) of Fairview Park; cherished grandchildren Jeffrey, Nicole and Adam; great-grandchildren Jackson, Annabelle and Grace; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents John and Anna (nee Tarbay) DeCoske and siblings Anna Marie Rovder, James, William, Francis, Richard, John, Delores Rummel and Donald.

Friends may call on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 4:00pm – 7:00pm for a visitation at BUSCH FUNERAL HOME 163 AVON BELDEN RD., AVON LAKE, OH 44012. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019 at St. Thomas Church 715 Harris Road, Sheffield Lake, OH 44054 at 10:00am.
