In memory of
Clinton Martin 80, of Aurora, Illinois, transitioned on September 7, 2018, at Northwestern Medical Hospital in Geneva Illinois.
Clinton was born in Camp Hill Alabama. In 1960, Clinton married Sandra L. Daniels. As a Chief Warrant Officer 2, Clinton served his country in the United States Army in Korea, Germany and Viet Nam. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star Medal. After serving, Clinton and his wife Sandra relocated to Illinois and made Aurora their home. Clinton became a journeyman plumber, and soon after, he became the owner and operator of Clinton Martin & Son Plumbing, where he was a licensed contractor. He was devoted to his craft until his retirement. In his retirement Clinton enjoyed, boating, fishing, hunting, playing cards and watching sports of all kind (as long as they are winning)!!!
Clinton was preceded in death by his parents, Al Dennie and Nezzie M. Martin and his brothers, Christopher L. Martin and Henry L. Martin.
Clinton is survived by his wife, Sandra L. Martin, Aurora, IL; daughter, Danielle (Martin) Freeman, Aurora, IL; son, Marcus Martin, Aurora, IL; grandchildren, Kyle Freeman, Aurora, IL, Christopher Austin, Aurora, IL, Jasmine Martin, Dixon, IL, and Deja Coulter, Dixon, IL; his 5 brothers, Rev. Lovell (Ida) Martin, Troy, AL, Julious (Freda) Ware, Fairburn, GA, James (Jean) Martin, Sugar Grove, IL, Arthur Martin, Fairburn, GA and Charles (Joyce) Martin, Sharpsburg GA; 7 sisters, Denise Alford, Sharpsburg, GA, Ann Marie (Earl) Small, Newnan, GA, Jacqulyn (Fred) Smith, Aurora, IL, Bettye Martin, Oswego, IL, Ervie Martin, Silver Springs, MD, Barbara (Robert) Gilleylen, North Aurora, IL and Patrice (Pastor Derrick) Jackson, Naperville, IL and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Friday Sept 14,2018 at The Healy Chapel, 370 Division Drive Sugar Grove, Il. 60554.
