In memory of
Pamela Ann Wilkes
Pamela Ann Wilkes, age 55 of Wonder Lake, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Northwestern Hospital in McHenry. She was born on August 16, 1964 in Chicago, the daughter of Thomas M. and Gloria A. (Fox) Minafore. She married the love of her life James P. Wilkes on September 2, 1995 at St. Marcelline Church in Schaumburg, IL. Loving wife to James Wilkes and mother to Hannah and Katie Wilkes, Pam was a dedicated, loyal, and loving soul. Her radiant energy and compassionate personality drew any walk of life to her. Her love for her husband, children, family, heritage, and of course her Chicago Cubbies and the University of Michigan was known by all. She thrived during summer time parties- working in the background managing everything, but beamed knowing everyone was taken care of and comfortable. Her mother and sisters, although separated by distance, regularly talked, reminiscing over music and life stories for hours over the phone. Pamela was Arikara, part of the Three Affiliated tribes. Her extended family in North Dakota were treated like her own blood. She will be missed dearly by all of those she touched. Pamela is survived by her loving husband of 24 years James; daughters Hannah and Katelyn Wilkes both of Wonder Lake IL.; her mother Gloria Brennan; her sisters Natalie Minafore of Garrison, ND and Melanie Minafore of Parshall, ND and Sarah (Carlos) Rodriquez; her father in law Robert Wilkes. Pamela was preceded in death by her father Thomas Minafore and step father Timothy Brennan. Private family visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at Colonial Funeral Home in McHenry. Immediate family with gather on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at Christ the King church for private or mass of Christian burial. Interment will follow at Christ the King Cemetery in Wonder Lake. Memorial donations in form of perennial flowers may send to the family, they will be planted in Pamela's garden in her memory.
