Deacon Odell Lewis age 78 of Campbellton, Florida passed away Saturday, September 21st at Southeast Health in Dothan, Alabama, Surrounded by his loving family. Deacon Odell Lewis was born on October 2, 1940 in Campbellton, FL. He was the fourth of seven children born to the late Robert Lee Lewis and the late Martha Lee Lewis. He was converted at an early age and joined Holyneck Baptist Church in Campbellton, FL. On August 30, 1959 he was united in holy matrimony to Mattie B. Gray and to this union five children were born. In 1960 he moved his family to Tampa, FL, where he joined Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and served as a Deacon. In 2008, he moved back to Campbellton, FL and joined St. Phillip Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon until his health began to fail. He enjoyed spending time with his family (especially his grandchildren) and watching westerns on TV. He was preceded in death by his parents (Robert Lee & Martha Lee Lewis), and two siblings (Willie Lee Lewis, and Kay Lewis. He leaves to cherish his memories, His Wife: Mattie Gray Lewis of Campbellton, FL; Five Children: Odell Lewis, Jr. (Deborah) and Mary McKeller (Simon) of Tampa, FL, Gloria Underwood (Larry) of Campbellton, FL, Donald Lewis and Christopher Lewis of Tampa, FL; Ten Grandchildren, Sixteen Great-Grandchildren; Four Siblings: Mary J. Hoover of Campbellton, FL; RD Lewis (Ida) of Tampa, FL; Lola B. Capehart of Dade City, FL; and Robert L. Lewis (Carrie) of Tampa, FL; Brother-in-law: Robert Earl Gray: Sisters-in-law: Peale Robinson and Louise Anderson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
