In memory of
Jerry Vandall
Jerry Wayne Vandall, age 74 of McHenry, went to be with our Lord on May 5, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 15, 1945, to the late Edgar T. and Macel E. (Milam) Vandall, in Lawton, WV. On February 3, 1966, he married the love of his life, Ruth E. Cales, in Bradley, WV. More than anything, Jerry loved his family. He was an avid Chicago sports fan; always cheering on the Bears, White Sox and The Blackhawks. In his free time, he enjoyed watching the horse races and taking road trips. Jerry will always be remembered for being a generous and giving man. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Ruth; dear children: Rhonda Lynn (Michael) Bowen and Jerry (Jami) Vandall Jr.; cherished grandchildren: Brandon, Nicholas, Jacob, Micaela, and Madelyn. He is further survived by his brother, Larry (the late Leona) Vandall, sisters: Phyllis (Charles) McDaniel, Shelby Henderson and Cathy (Donnie) Jones Robinson; many beloved nieces and nephews, and his faithful canine companion, Corabelle "Peaches." In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his siblings: Drema, Jackie, Calvin, Kenneth, Betty, and June. Memorial Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, from 3:00pm until 6:00pm at Colonial Funeral Home & Crematory, 591 Ridgeview Dr. McHenry IL 60050.
