He was the owner-operator of Cake Specialty in Hawthorne, formerly in Paterson and Previously the owner of Caruso Pastry Shop in Paterson. He was a member of Our Lady Of The Valley R.C. Church, Wayne, past president of Fidelians of America, North Haledon, charter member of the Italian Circle, Paterson and a member of the Franklin Pleasure Club and the Lincoln Continental Owners Club. Beloved husband of the late Nancy (Piccione), loving father of: Joseph and his wife, Judy of Ringwood, Nicholas Jr. of Wayne, Michael and his wife, Barbara of North Haledon and Pamela and her husband, Vincent Amico of Wayne. Dear brother of Anne Arnowitz of Kinnelon and the late Phil De Spirito, Mary Matarzzo and Catherine (Toddy) Strauss. Devoted grandfather of James, Jonathan, Jamie, Nancy Maria, Samantha, Michael, Jeffrey, Melanie and the Joseph III. Great grandfather of Katelyn and Samantha. Also preceded in death his daughter-in-law, Edith Maria De Spirito. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Thursday, June 28, 2007 at 9 AM at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Rd, Wayne, and 10:30 AM at St. Anthony's RC Church, 276 Diamond Bridge Ave, Hawthorne.
