Naomi K. Young Naomi K. Young, 53, of Gainesville passed away December 19, 2015. She was born April 21, 1962 in Seattle, WA to David R. and Shirley Gene Kietzke. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Special Education at Central Washington University, then her Master's Degree in Library Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She was a librarian at the University of Florida. Naomi was very active in the Serials Cataloging professional community, as well as in the Holy Faith Catholic Church community and Dominican Laity Group. She was an ardent supporter of the disability community. She is survived by her husband, William "Hank" Young of Gainesville; father, David R. Keitzke of Seattle, WA; two brothers, Carl Kietzke of Seattle, WA and Frank Kietzke of Rochester, PA; uncle, Eugene Craig Shanor, and three nieces and one nephew, Aimee, Robert, Anabel Potts, and Abby Shanor. She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Kietzke. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Faith Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 6th, 2016 at 9:30 am with Fr. John Phillips as celebrant. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 5th, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the church. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorials to the March of Dimes, 1831 NW 13th St #3, Gainesville, FL 32609, or the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454 Alexandria, VA 22312.
