Yvonne Loraine Geiger
Heaven gained another angel when Yvonne Loraine Geiger, loving wife, mother and friend died peacefully at home in San Antonio on April 15, 2017 following a 9 year battle with Corticobasal Degeneration.
She was born in Bellefonte, PA December 13, 1946 and lived in Delaware, California, Pennsylvania, and most recently San Antonio, TX. Her career as a top level administrative assistant with various corporations included Six Flags, California Special Olympics, Litton, Times Mirror, and Rustic Canyon.
All who knew her were touched by her love, wit, and happiness for life. She loved family and friends, organized activities and made many contributions to her communities, and enjoyed cruising, traveling, needlepoint, cards, board games and collecting bees and baskets. She will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity, smile, and beautiful eyes.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Geiger; son, C. Christopher Palumbo; brothers, George and Terry Adgate; and sister, Susan Dougherty. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Edna Adgate.
One of her last requests was that those attending her funeral not feel obligated to wear black, but rather consider wearing blue, her favorite color.
Visitation will be held at Porter Loring Mortuary North, 2102 N Loop 1604 E, San Antonio, TX on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Then, a visitation will be held at Thompson's Funeral Home, Lebanon, PA on Monday, April 24, 2017 beginning at 11:30 a.m. with a Prayer Service at 12:30 p.m. followed by interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to "Cure PSP" at psp.org, a research program that may ultimately find a cure for PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy) and other prime of life neurodegenerative diseases.
