In memory of
Yvonne Blanche Makepeace Enea
Yvonne Blanche Makepeace Enea May 3, 1932 - September 16, 2016 Resident of Alamo Yvonne Blanche Makepeace Enea passed away suddenly surrounded by her family following a massive stroke. Yvonne was born in Susanville, Ca., the only child of David James Makepeace and Lillian Laughlin. She was raised by her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Issac Knock of Susanville, until the age of eleven. Yvonne loved Susanville but after the Knock's deaths, she moved to Pittsburg, Ca. under the care of her paternal grandmother, Frances Makepeace McBride. It was in Pittsburg where she met the love of her life and lifelong companion, Sylvester F. Enea, Jr. After graduating from Pittsburg High School in 1949 at the age of seventeen, she and Syl were married one year later Aug. 20, 1950. In 1965, Syl and Yvonne built a beautiful home in Round Hill Country Club where they raised their six children and cared for their thirteen grandchildren. Together they enjoyed many trips around the world, mainly following golf. Their favorite trip would come every January when Syl would play in the Pro-Am at the Hawaiian Open. Yvonne loved to cook. The house was always full of friends and family and she prepared fabulous meals for them all. Along with her love for animals, she loved to garden, play the piano, sing, dance and most of all, watch sports! Yvonne is survived by her children, Joan Enea-Lopez (Paul), David Enea, Susan Enea, (Art Bruno), Marylynn O'Regan, (Kurt), Vesty Enea (Mimi) and Paul Enea (Molly), her grandchildren, Paul Knauff (Nina), Matthew Knauff (Shawna and great- granddaughter Mia), Michael Lopez, Mark Lopez, Kayla O'Regan, Alexander Enea, Patrick Enea, Krysten O'Regan, Theodore Enea, Kevin Enea, Theodora Enea and Gabrial Enea. Yvonne was predeceased by her husband, Syl, married for sixty-four years in 2014, her granddaughter Victoria Lopez in 2013 and her daughter-in-law, Julie Enea in 2016. Yvonne was a beautiful, generous, caring, intelligent, hardworking and religious woman. Everyone who met her, liked her and wanted to be around her. She will be missed dearly by all, but we know she is now happy in heaven with her family, especially our father who has been waiting for her. Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life at a funeral mass, Friday October 21, 2016 at 1:30 pm at St. Isidore Church, 440 La Gonda Way, Danville, CA.
